Comic strip indicator

With Scott Adams of Dilbert fame becoming a full-blown investment columnist, maybe we should be spending more time on the comics page looking for investment ideas. As many know there is something called the “magazine cover indicator.” The point being once a trend is widely recognized, as it is on the cover of a major magazine, it is in all likelihood played out.
Over at the very funny Candorville this strip caught our attention:

The great thing about the comic strip indicator is that even if it doesn’t work as an investment signal at least you can get a laugh or two out of it along the way.
